Fish Pie

Fish Pie in English is a dish originally from Great Britain 🇬🇧 but also very popular in Ireland. There are different ways of making this dish; some people include sweetcorn, boiled eggs and other possible ingredients. Here I share my version!

Ingredients

  • 250g fish mix (pieces of white fish, salmon, fresh and smoked, prawns or other seafood you have available)
  • 1kg Asterix potatoes in the form of mash
  • 1 leek, sliced
  • 100g peas
  • 25g plain flour
  • 25g butter
  • 400ml milk
  • Salt and black pepper

Method

  1. Prepare the mashed potatoes and set aside.

  2. Preheat the oven to 200C.

  3. In a medium pan, bring the butter and the flour to the heat, stir with a whisk for a few minutes and add the leek. A cream will form, keep stirring.
