Fubá Cake (Cornmeal Cake)

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
2. Grease a cake tin with butter; it can be the kind with a hole in the middle, 25 cm in diameter, or a loaf tin. Dust with flour and shake well to spread the flour.
3. You can also use those paper cases to line your tin, if you have them.
4. In a bowl, combine the eggs, the liquids and the sugar and mix well for about 5 minutes.
5. Add the remaining ingredients, pour into your tin and sprinkle the anise seeds on top.
6. Bake for approximately 35 minutes, or until the tip of a knife inserted comes out clean.
