Sautéed Tinned Tuna
This sautéed tuna can be used for snacks or as a pizza topping. Many people do not like the taste of tuna straight from the tin, but if you sauté it with a few extra ingredients, it can better satisfy your palate.
I preferably use tuna in oil as I find it tastier, but it is up to your taste.
Ingredients
- 2 tins of tuna in oil
- 2 chopped tomatoes, deseeded
- 1 finely chopped onion
- Chopped/sliced olives
- Olive oil for sautéing
- Salt and black pepper
- Finely chopped parsley
Method
- In a non-stick pan, sauté the onion until soft.
-
Add the tomatoes and sauté until soft.
-
Add the tuna and sauté for about 3 minutes.
- Add the olives; if you like, you can add 2 tbsp of tomato sauce (optional) and sauté for a further 3 minutes or so, adjust the salt and pepper and finish with the chopped parsley.
