Minced Beef with Cabbage and Ginger
Ingredients
- 600g sliced cabbage
- 500g minced beef
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion finely chopped (or 1 tbsp onion powder)
- 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
- 1 dessert spoon of dried Calabrian chilli
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 3 spring onion stalks, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- Salt and black pepper
Method
- Fry the sliced cabbage in a large non-stick pan with 1 tbsp of butter until it is soft, use medium heat so it doesn’t burn.

- Add the chopped onion until it is soft, or the onion powder, season with salt and black pepper, Calabrian chilli and the vinegar, set aside.

- In the same pan fry the ginger and the garlic in the other tablespoon of butter.

- Over medium-high heat, add the minced beef and fry until most of the liquid has evaporated and the meat starts to brown.

- Over medium-low heat, add the cabbage and fry everything together until the liquids have evaporated and the whole mixture is heated through again.

- Add the sesame oil and the chopped spring onion before serving.
